1.
That very one which soars up a long way to the heavens in waking and goes the same way in sleep; that Divine Intelligence, that one far-shining Light of Lights –
May my mind rest in that, intent on the highest good.
2.
That by which the wise act and initiate ritual worship when they gather; that
original Spirit within all creation –
May my mind rest in that, intent on the highest good.
3.
That wisdom, consciousness, and will; that inner deathless Light in all beings
without which no action can be accomplished –
May my mind rest in that, intent on the highest good.
4.
That Eternity by which all that has been, is being, and will be is embraced; that
by which the seven priests offer the sacrifice –
May my mind rest in that, intent on the highest good.
5.
That upon which the Rik, Sāma, and Yajur vedas radiate like spokes on a great wheel; that loom upon which the awareness of all beings is woven –
May my mind rest in that, intent on the highest good.
6.
Just as a charioteer uses reins to guide the horses, so that which is dwelling in the heart, agile and fleetest of all, constantly governs the impetuous senses –
May my mind rest in that, intent on the highest good.
